Well as anyone who follows me knows, We are celebrating CANADIAN Children’s Picture Books this Month for Picture Book Month. A few days ago I joined a group of bloggers to share in this Picture Book Month Celebration Calendar (Calendar and many other resources can be found at http://picturebookmonth.com/ )
Thanks so much for inviting me, Krystal [ http://www.healthyhappythriftyfamily.com/ ]
So this Blogger-in-Trainer is taking up this BONUS Picture Book Challenge..
Today’s Topic is ROYALTY and I have chosen The Princess and a Pony by Kate Beaton.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
From Kate Beaton, author/illustrator of the #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestseller HARK! A VAGRANT!
Princess Pinecone knows exactly what she wants for her birthday this year: a horse! A big horse, a strong horse, a horse fit for a warrior princess! But when the day arrives, she doesn’t quite get the horse of her dreams…
For anyone who’s ever been saddled with a truly terrible present, THE PRINCESS AND THE PONY is a laugh-out-loud story of overcoming first impressions and falling in love with one unforgettable roly-poly pony!

Now besides the Pony, my daughter loves the last page of the book when all the Warriors are wearing their ‘cozy sweaters’. We can spend many minutes at the end, going through each and everyone of those sweaters that Princess Pinecone gives to the other Warriors. So I thought this might be fun. Let’s design some fun, quirky, and colourful sweaters.
